The Chemical Reaction

When crystalline chemicals are applied as a slurry coated onto the concrete, or mixed directly into the fresh concrete batch, they react with water and un-hydrated cement particles.

This reaction forms millions of needle-like crystals deep within the capillary pores of the concrete, physically blocking the passage of water.

Self-Healing Concrete

The magic of crystalline technology is that the chemicals remain dormant inside the concrete for decades. If a new crack forms and water enters, the chemicals reactivate automatically, growing new crystals to permanently seal the crack.
